Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 22 June 2026

These terms set out the rules for using our website, our intellectual-property rights, and the basis on which we provide consultations and services.

01About these terms

These terms tell you the rules for using the Maxfield Mayfair Studio website. By browsing this site you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

02Who we are

Maxfield Mayfair Studio is a web design and development studio based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at info@maxfieldmayfair.co.uk.

03Using this website

You may use this website for lawful, personal purposes. You agree not to misuse it — for example by attempting to gain unauthorised access, introducing malicious code, or copying content for commercial use without our permission. We may suspend or withdraw the site at any time without notice.

04Intellectual property

Content on this website — our text, images, branding and design — belongs to or is licensed to Maxfield Mayfair Studio and is protected by copyright. You may view and print pages for reference, but not reproduce our content elsewhere without written permission.

Client work is different — and this matches the promise on our homepage. When a project is paid in full, copyright in the bespoke design and code we created for you transfers to you: the site is yours to host anywhere, change, or take elsewhere, forever. Two sensible carve-outs: general-purpose tools, libraries and techniques we developed before or outside your project stay ours, with a perpetual licence for your site to keep using them; and unless you ask us not to, we may show the finished work in our portfolio. Anything different can be agreed in writing.

05The website is not professional advice

Information on this site is provided for general guidance only and is not design, technical or legal advice. You should not rely on it for any specific project or decision. Formal advice is only given once we are engaged under a written agreement.

06Consultations and engaging us

A free consultation is an introductory conversation with no obligation on either side. It does not create a contract. We are only engaged to provide services once both parties have agreed a written proposal or appointment, which will set out the scope, stages, fees and terms of the work.

Where our site links to third-party websites, those links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over their content and accept no responsibility for them.

08Our liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of this website, or from any reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer. The terms of any project we carry out for you will be governed by our separate written agreement.

09Events outside our control

We are not responsible for any failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including network failures, hosting outages or other circumstances beyond our control.

10Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time you use the site is the version that applies. The “last updated” date shows when they last changed.
